Modalities I frequently apply in therapy.
Choice/Reality Theory Therapy
Choice/Reality Theory Therapy is based on the idea that we are in control of our actions and that most of our emotional struggles come from unfulfilled needs-like love, belonging, freedom, fun, or a sense of achievement. In therapy, we work together to understand what you really want, identify what's getting in the way, and discover healthier, more effective ways to meet your needs. It empowers you to take responsibility for your life and make choices that lead to a greater happiness, connection and purpose.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that I integrate into my counseling practice. It focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors to promote positive mental well-being. Together, we can work on developing effective coping strategies and building resilience to overcome life's obstacles.
MindFulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy is gentle, evidence=based approach that helps you become more present and aware of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences-without judgement. By learning to slow down and tune into the moment, you can begin to manage stress, reduce anxiety and depression, and respond to life with greater clarity and calm. It's especially helpful for those who feel overwhelmed, stuck in negative thoguhts patterns, or disconnected from themselves and others.
My Approach
In my practice, I prioritize creating a warm and inclusive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. I believe in the power of holistic healing, addressing not only psychological distress but also considering the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. My approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals on their journey towards mental wellness and self-discovery.
